How to collect Data with the help of MAP.
1. Login into MAP toolkit and Go to Server Virtualization.
2. Click on Collect Inventory Data ( on the right hand side )
After that provide the details like for All computer, Linux etc…
3. Here you have to select by which method it will scan and get the information. if you are using AD DS then need to provide Domain ID and password.
4. Provide Domain and User name, password
5. Select the Search critaria
6. Select the user
7. or create new user
8. From here you can select by using which option you want to let scan this MAP
9. Summary and click finish
10. It will start collecting data.
12. Now select 2nd option to collect Performance data.
13. Provide the time when it will stop to collect data.
14. Select the option for All computer
15. select the computer.
16. Select the Account
17. click next
18. Summary and finish.
19. it will start collecting data.
Here we will See how to install MAP ( Microsoft Assessment and Planning ).
1. First Open your VM and locate the exe of MAP
2. Click Next
3. Accept the EULA
4. Provide the installation directory.
5. Click on Install.
6. it will start installing MAP
7. Click on Finish.
8. Here you go. your tools is ready
9. After installation it will ask you For Database so create New database or you can attach with existing one.
10. After providing it is ready to Gather information.

Ctrl+Space Select the entire column Vertically Ctrl+Shift+(+) Display the Insert dialog box to insert blank cells.(if clip board empty)(if clip board having data then insert that data) Ctrl+Shift+spacebar (twice) Select the entire worksheet or the data-containing rows and columns. Ctrl+Shift+Page Up (and Page Down) Select the Next and Previous sheet in a workbook. F8 Turn on extension of selection with arrow keys without having to keep pressing shift. Ctrl+Alt+v Display the Paste Special dialog box. Shift+Spacebar Select the entire row Horizontally
Edit Cells Shift+Enter Move UP F2 Edit the active cell with cursor at end of the line. Ctrl+; Insert current date. Ctrl+Shift+: Insert current time.

Hide and Show Elements Alt+Shift+Arrow Right Group rows or columns. Ctrl+Shift+0 Unhide any hidden columns within the selection. Ctrl+Shift+9 Unhide any hidden rows within the selection. Ctrl+9 Hide the selected rows. Ctrl+0 Hide the selected columns.
Format Data Ctrl+u or ctrl+4 or remove an underline. Ctrl+5 or remove strikethrough formatting. (example) Ctrl+Shift+f Font adjustment Ctrl+I or ctrl+3 or remove italic formatting. Ctrl+b or ctrl+2 or remove bold formatting. Ctrl+1 Format cells dialog. Ctrl+Shift+% Percentage format with no decimal places. Ctrl+Shift+! Number format with two decimal places, thousands separator. Ctrl+Shift+~ General number format. Ctrl+Shift+@ Time format with the hour and minute, and indicate A.M. or P.M. Ctrl+Shift+$ Currency format. Ctrl+F3 Define a name or dialog. Ctrl+Shift+F3 Create names from row and column labels. F3 Paste a defined name into a formula.
Formulas = It will Start a formula (basic) Ctrl+a Select All Shift+F3 Display the Insert Function dialog box. Alt+= Insert the AutoSum formula.Ex = sum(). F4 ( while applying Vlookup ) It will freeze cell reference (e.g. =B69) makes reference absolute (=$B$70) Shift+F3 Insert a function into a formula . F9 Calculate all worksheets in all open workbooks. Shift+F9 Calculate the active worksheet. Ctrl+` Toggle Show formula in cell instead of values Ctrl+Alt+Shift+F9 Recheck dependent formulas, and then calculates all cells in all open workbooks, including cells not marked as needing to be calculated. Ctrl+Shift+u Toggle expand or collapse formula bar. Put(=) VLOOKUP(lookup_value,table_array, col_index_num,range_lookup) vlookup Ctrl+Alt+F9 Calculate all worksheets in all open workbooks, regardless of whether they have changed since the last calculation.
